Volunteer
Want to make a real difference in the lives of animals and your community? Join our dedicated volunteer team! Whether you have a few hours each week or can only help at special events, there’s a place for you. Volunteer roles include animal care, event support, community outreach, and more. Your time and energy help bring love and care to animals in need.
New volunteers are required to attend a training session before participating in shelter activities. Volunteer training begins in February and is offered on a recurring schedule throughout the year.
Training sessions are not held on federal holidays. In addition, training will pause annually from November 1–15 and throughout the month of December as part of our seasonal scheduling break.
We look forward to welcoming new volunteers and appreciate your understanding as we maintain a schedule that ensures high-quality, safe, and consistent training for everyone.

Sponsorship is one of the most impactful ways you can support the mission of the Jackson Animal Care Center. Become a Kennel or Habitat Sponsor and help cover the full cost of care for the animals in that space. Your sponsorship ensures our animals receive food, shelter, enrichment, and medical care while they wait for their forever homes.
Sponsorships also allow us to direct event proceeds toward outreach, education, and medical services in underserved areas, extending your impact far beyond the shelter walls. As a thank-you, in addition to being able to attend annual invitation-only sponsors’ banquet, sponsors receive multiple opportunities for advertising, social media features, and community recognition.
